The Hyperledger Foundation, a leading enterprise-grade blockchain ecosystem, has welcomed seven new members to its network. The latest additions include Adhara, Digital Currency Forum, Launchnodes, Pairpoint, SDAX, SEIYAJ TECH, and Web3 Labs. In conjunction with this expansion, Hyperledger is set to host a webinar on January 31 to mark its eighth anniversary.
Among the new members, Pairpoint stands out as a notable player, having recently undergone a rebranding from Digital Asset Broker, a joint venture between Vodafone and Sumitomo. Pairpoint focuses on the Internet of Things (IoT) and is dedicated to the economy of things, particularly targeting cargo logistics in its initial use case.
Adhara, another new member, has achieved recent acclaim as the technology partner of Fnality, a wholesale payment solution officially launched with the approval of the Bank of England. Notably, both Adhara and the Bank of England are existing Hyperledger members. Adhara’s collaboration with R3 on the Harmonia blockchain interoperability solution, a Hyperledger Lab initiative, aims to facilitate atomic settlement for institutional financial transactions across diverse blockchains.
Digital Currency Forum, based in Japan, is set to unveil a tokenized deposit network by mid-2024. With over 100 institutions and enterprises in its network, the Forum has been exploring digital currency use cases since 2020.
Singapore-based SDAX, a regulated digital asset exchange, provides a platform for purchasing private equity, credit, real estate, and art. Supported by RHT Group of Companies, an affiliate of a major Singapore law firm, SDAX adds a significant presence from Asia to Hyperledger.
Web3 Labs, with renowned clients like JP Morgan and Vodafone, contributes deep technological expertise as an OG blockchain startup. It actively participates in the development of Hyperledger Besu.
Less familiar but equally noteworthy are SEIYAJ TECH, a Saudi consortium offering digital solutions, and Launchnodes, a provider of node hosting services.
As Hyperledger continues to expand its membership base, these collaborations and additions underscore the growing diversity and global reach of the enterprise blockchain ecosystem. The upcoming eighth-anniversary webinar serves as a testament to the foundation’s enduring commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration within the blockchain community.
