Binance has named Kyrylo Khomiakov, currently serving as CEE General Manager, as the Regional Head for Central Asia. In his new role, Kyrylo will lead teams across these markets, focusing on the enhancement of Binance’s product and service offerings. Particular emphasis will be placed on company growth, educational initiatives, development of fiat channels, and optimizing user experiences in these crucial markets.
Strengthening Binance’s Presence in Central Asia
Kyrylo’s mission in his new role will include fortifying Binance’s industry leadership, overseeing marketing strategies, and fostering constructive engagement with governmental and public entities in both the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and Central Asia markets.
Binance’s regional head, Richard Teng, expressed his confidence in Kyrylo’s leadership and deep understanding of these local markets. Teng emphasized the significance of these diverse and unique regions to the company’s operations, highlighting that Kyrylo’s appointment is pivotal for ensuring effective resource allocation and upholding Binance’s position in this part of the world.
Focus on Building Trust and Local Presence
Kyrylo emphasized the company’s commitment to prioritizing its users and building a local presence in CEE and Central Asian countries. This approach aims to build trust and develop products that cater to users’ daily needs. He underlined that trust is not a one-time achievement but the result of a daily commitment from the Binance team. Kyrylo expressed his enthusiasm for expanding the industry and further developing efforts in more regions.
Kyrylo Khomiakov initially joined Binance in January 2022, taking charge of the Ukraine market. His success in developing the market, implementing global marketing strategies, and establishing strong relationships with government and public entities led to an expansion of his responsibilities to cover the entire Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region from January 2023. In his new role, he will guide development across 14 countries in both the CEE and Central Asia.
Prior to joining Binance, Khomiakov held leadership positions in various banking, fintech, and government organizations, accumulating over 15 years of experience in the field. Notably, he served as the CEO of the State Agency of Infrastructure Projects of Ukraine and was the CEO of a blockchain software development company before joining Binance.
