Senator Cynthia Lummis has confirmed her role as an honorary co-host for the upcoming Bitcoin for America forum, set to take place in Washington D.C. on March 11, 2025. The event, organized by the Bitcoin Policy Institute, will convene a select group of business leaders, government officials, and cryptocurrency experts to explore the future of Bitcoin in the United States.
The invite-only forum will address Bitcoin’s potential integration into the U.S. financial system. Key discussions will focus on the cryptocurrency’s economic role, its potential benefits to the nation, and the regulatory framework necessary for its inclusion. Portions of the forum will be streamed live for the public.
“The sessions will examine Bitcoin’s evolving role and its alignment with U.S. national interests, exploring how the U.S. might diversify its assets with Bitcoin and what strategies should be considered at the national level,” the forum’s website explains.
Senator Lummis, a staunch advocate for digital currencies, has previously declared 2025 as the “year of Bitcoin digital assets.” She is committed to spearheading efforts to create a robust legal framework for the regulation of digital assets.
This forum marks a significant step in the ongoing dialogue about the future of cryptocurrency in the American economy.
