Floki, known for its dog-themed memes and utility tokens, has launched a new debit card across 31 European countries, facilitating the use of cryptocurrency in daily transactions.
According to a post on X, the card can be used at stores and with online merchants globally that accept VISA or Mastercard. Consumers can now utilize crypto as easily as traditional currency, whether they are shopping in a physical store or making online purchases.
The Floki Debit Card comes with several appealing features. Notably, there are no fees for transactions or currency exchanges. It supports a range of popular cryptocurrencies for funding, such as Floki ($FLOKI), Bitcoin ($BTC), Ethereum ($ETH), Tether ($USDT), and Solana ($SOL).
The card offers two variants: a physical card and a virtual card. Digital assets can be directly employed for payments without incurring additional costs. The physical card has a one-time fee of 32 EUR, along with shipping charges, while the virtual card is more economical at 10 EUR. A 2% fee is applicable when users top up the card.
Presently, the Floki Debit Card is operational in 31 regions, including France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. The virtual card can be used worldwide, and the physical card will be expanded to more countries in the future.
This debit card presents a straightforward means of spending cryptocurrency at regular and online retailers, bridging the divide between the digital and traditional financial realms. However, it is not available in countries restricted by Mastercard or the issuing banks.
