The DIA organization has recently launched Lasernet, the world’s first Layer-2 rollup dedicated to Oracle infrastructure, on its testnet. This revolutionary innovation marries trustless execution with scalability, aiming to fulfill the escalating requirements for decentralized, permissionless, and dependable data transmission within blockchain applications.
Lasernet presents pull and push-based oracles, which developers can experiment with on the Ethereum Sepolia network. The mainnet release is slated for the first quarter of 2025. Engineered to surmount the constraints of conventional Oracle solutions, Lasernet permits scalable, cost-effective, and trustless on-chain computations while retaining Ethereum’s formidable security.
The inventive architecture is propelled by Lumina, DIA’s novel modular Oracle stack. Lumina capitalizes on state-of-the-art blockchain technologies via collaborations with prominent Web3 initiatives. The Optimism’s OP Stack assures enterprise-level scalability and on-chain data verification. Conduit streamlines rollup deployment, augmenting operational efficiency. Hyperlane facilitates effortless interoperability between both EVM and non-EVM blockchains. Celestia amplifies scalability by means of its data availability layer, underpinning high-volume data sourcing and storage.
Renowned experts from the Web3 domain have lauded this innovation. Fahim Sachedina from Optimism commented that DIA’s Lasernet rollup, driven by the OP Stack, signifies a crucial progression in decentralized oracle infrastructure. Likewise, Andrew Huang of Conduit pointed out that DIA’s Lasernet rollup is a compelling manifestation of how Conduit’s technology can streamline intricate use cases such as oracles.
The testnet debut represents the initial stride towards a completely permissionless network. By 2025, developers will possess the ability to independently deploy oracles, thereby nurturing a decentralized data ecosystem. DIA’s objective is to establish an open data layer for Web3, facilitating transparent, secure, and modular Oracle solutions.
