Polter Finance, a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform, has fallen victim to a significant exploit on the Fantom blockchain, resulting in the theft of over $7 million in digital assets.
According to Cyvers Alerts, the attacker initially funneled funds through TornadoCash on the Ethereum network before using a bridge to transfer the stolen assets to the Fantom blockchain.
Upon detecting the breach, Polter Finance took immediate action by pausing its platform to mitigate further losses. The team also notified the relevant bridges and began tracing the stolen assets, leading to the identification of wallets linked to Binance.
An active investigation is underway to fully assess the damage. Polter Finance has pledged to cooperate with authorities in resolving the matter. The platform remains suspended as the team strengthens security measures to prevent future attacks.
