In a groundbreaking move, StepN Go has teamed up with German sportswear giant Adidas to launch the Genesis NFT sneaker collection on the Solana blockchain. This collaboration marks their second venture together, building on the success of their initial partnership in April 2024. The Genesis Sneakers represent a novel fusion of physical fitness and digital fashion, underscoring the growing convergence of these domains within the Web3 landscape.
The limited-edition Genesis Sneakers will be available exclusively through a raffle hosted on MOOAR, an NFT marketplace developed by FLS, the gaming and development team behind StepN. The collection comprises 1,000 sneakers, each priced at 10,000 GMT, the native cryptocurrency of StepN Go. Participants who do not win in the raffle will receive a refund, ensuring a risk-free entry for enthusiasts.
Since its beta release in September 2024, StepN Go has garnered considerable attention for its innovative approach to rewarding physical activity. One of the app’s notable features is the Haus, which allows users to lend their digital sneakers to friends, enhancing social engagement and community interaction. Another feature, the Fitness Level, provides additional earnings for users who maintain consistent physical activity, turning every step into a potential earning opportunity.
To complement the new features, StepN Go has introduced the Go Game Token (GGT). Users can earn GGT by walking, jogging, or running with their digital sneakers. This new token operates in a manner similar to the Green Satoshi Token (GST) from the original StepN app, which has established itself as a leading move-to-earn game since its 2021 launch.
The app also integrates social components such as friend connections, messaging, and customizable avatars, allowing users to share their experiences and earn GMT rewards. This social dimension further enriches the user experience, enhancing both engagement and interaction within the StepN Go community.
