The stability comes amid substantial inflows into Bitcoin ETFs, totaling $506.37 million between August 17 and August 23, bolstering BTC’s market position. Bitcoin’s dominance increased slightly to 56.28%, with its market capitalization at $1.27 trillion.
Ethereum’s Minor Decline
Ethereum (ETH) experienced a slight dip of 0.52%, settling at $2,745. The altcoin’s trading range for the day was between $2,726.44 and $2,793.01. Despite ongoing speculation about Ethereum potentially surpassing Bitcoin in market cap by 2029, the coin saw outflows of $44.54 million from its ETFs last week. Ethereum’s market cap currently stands at $330.87 billion.
Solana Shows Gains
Solana (SOL) saw a 2% increase, bringing its price to $161. The cryptocurrency traded between $155.51 and $161.95 during the past 24 hours. Despite this gain, Solana’s trading volume dropped by nearly 25% to $2.01 billion, with its market cap now at $75.06 billion.
Ripple and Meme Coins
Ripple’s XRP fell 1.53% to $0.5977, with a trading range of $0.5932 to $0.6094. XRP’s trading volume also decreased by 28%, resting at $856.29 million. In the meme coin sector, FLOKI and POPCAT saw modest gains of nearly 3% each. In contrast, Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) both declined, with DOGE dropping 1% to $0.1097 and SHIB falling 1% to $0.00001509.
