Worldline has introduced the Worldline Metaverse Shopping Hub within Spatial, marking a significant enhancement to its white-label solution designed for merchants entering the Metaverse space.
With this platform extension, online businesses gain access to substantial improvements in graphical quality and accessibility across desktop, mobile, and VR devices. The Metaverse e-commerce marketplace is projected to reach a staggering US$2.6 trillion by 2030, according to McKinsey. The Worldline Metaverse Shopping Hub aims to provide a leading solution for merchants without an existing Metaverse presence, enabling them to deliver an immersive and engaging experience to customers in the evolving era of commerce.
Following the successful launch of the Worldline Metaverse Shopping Mall earlier this year in Decentraland, Worldline expands its Metaverse presence by incorporating Spatial, thereby establishing a Metaverse Shopping Hub across various Metaverse platforms.
Recognizing the transformative influence of gaming on the digital realm, the second season within Spatial introduces new customer engagement methods aligned with the intuitive behaviors prevalent in the digital environment. Merchants can, for instance, incentivize users to participate in virtual scavenger hunts, enabling them to collect digital eggs in exchange for community card NFT rewards.
Sascha Muenger, Head Competence Center Crypto Related Products & Metaverse at Worldline, expressed enthusiasm, stating:
“We are delighted to present the second season of our Metaverse Shopping Mall in Spatial. This important milestone gives us the opportunity to create a new shopping experience together with some of our most innovative customers and take another step towards commerce solutions in the Metaverse.”
Geographical Expansion with PAYONE in Germany and Austria
The launch of the Metaverse Shopping Hub Season Two also brings about a geographical expansion. PAYONE, a joint venture between Worldline and the German Savings Banks Association (DSV Group), will commence the distribution of the Worldline Metaverse White Label solution in Germany and Austria starting in the first quarter of 2024.
This collaboration not only introduces global innovation to significant local markets but also facilitates the broader scaling of the Worldline Metaverse Shopping Mall. This expansion enables more merchants to gain initial experience in the Metaverse as a potential new commerce channel, complementing traditional point-of-sale and eCommerce avenues.
