Solana Mobile has announced that its highly anticipated Web3 smartphone, the Solana Seeker, is currently undergoing testing, with shipments expected to begin in Summer 2025.
The Seeker, powered by Android, is designed to integrate seamlessly with the decentralized web. It allows users to engage directly with decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain features, opening up new possibilities in Web3 technology.
Key features of the Seeker include the SeedVault wallet, which provides a secure space to store private keys, and the Seeker Genesis Token—a unique, non-transferable NFT tied to each device. This token unlocks special rewards and exclusive access within the Solana ecosystem, enhancing the user experience.
In terms of hardware, the Seeker boasts 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, and a 6.36-inch AMOLED display, offering both robust performance and a top-notch visual experience. The smartphone also features a high-definition camera, catering to both everyday users and crypto enthusiasts seeking a reliable Web3-enabled device.
With over 140,000 pre-orders worldwide, the Seeker has generated significant demand. The Founder pre-order price starts at $450, with subsequent price stages set at $500. Customers will have the opportunity to confirm or update their shipping information before the devices are shipped.
