OKX has introduced the Ordinals Launchpad, a new platform enabling on-chain creators to directly launch, inscribe, and trade collections within the Bitcoin ecosystem. This major crypto exchange is integrating Ordinals, providing creators with essential tools, exposure, and technical support for a seamless Bitcoin inscription process.
The Ordinals Launchpad can be accessed via web or mobile. Creators can launch and trade collections through the interface, with sales proceeds directly transferred to their wallets via on-chain settlements. OKX utilizes “SelfScribe” technology for instant on-chain inscribing at minting, ensuring self-custody and eliminating pre-inscription needs. Creators have full control over pricing and distribution, including custom minting round options. The platform charges a 2.5% launch fee and zero trading fees for collectors. Creators can also list their collections on other major marketplaces after minting.
The first collection to debut on Ordinals Launchpad is “Geminions” by JRNE, a Web3 jewelry brand. OKX reports a 50% increase in trading volume for Ordinals, Runes, and BRC-20 collections since November. In contrast, Binance has discontinued its Ordinal assets, specifically the Inscription Market. Users can no longer buy or sell inscription assets on Binance but can view and transfer them. Binance halted support for Ordinals in April this year.
