Aurum Equity Partners has initiated a pioneering $1 billion tokenized fund that integrates equity and debt assets, aiming to establish data centers across multiple global regions, including the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, India, and Europe.
In a strategic announcement made on October 22, Aurum Equity Partners revealed that their new fund will harness Zoniqx’s asset tokenization technology along with the Dynamic Compliant Interoperable Security Token (DyCIST) protocol. Furthermore, the initiative will utilize the XRP Ledger (XRPL) blockchain to expand the horizons of real-world asset tokenization, effectively converting the firm’s assets into tokenized financial instruments, thereby enhancing their accessibility to a wider investor base.
The firm is optimistic that the tokenization strategy will enable them to attract a diverse group of investors, particularly smaller entities that often face challenges when attempting to invest in large-scale infrastructure projects. David Schwartz, the Chief Technology Officer of Ripple and a co-creator of the XRP Ledger, highlighted the significance of this move, stating, “Tokenizing private equity is another emerging use case in RWA, tackling the challenges of illiquidity and limited access in these markets.”
Aurum Equity Partners is recognized for its focus on vital infrastructure investments, boasting a track record of over 125 transactions valued at $2 billion across India and the United States. The tokenization market is currently experiencing rapid growth, with projections estimating its potential to reach between $4 trillion and $30 trillion by 2030.
Prasanth Kalangi, founder and CEO of Zoniqx, expressed his enthusiasm for the technology’s ability to adapt to the changing needs of the financial sector, particularly within private equity.
The launch of Aurum Equity Partners’ $1 billion tokenized fund signifies a noteworthy advancement in the evolution of infrastructure investment. By employing cutting-edge technology, the firm is working to democratize data center investments, making them accessible to a broader range of investors.
