Tonkeeper, a prominent non-custodial wallet within the TON ecosystem, has announced its forthcoming support for the $HMSTR token, which is linked to the widely recognized Telegram-based Web3 game, Hamster Kombat.
This new integration will allow users to utilize $HMSTR for paying TON transaction fees via Tonkeeper’s Battery feature. The Battery functionality simplifies the process of managing transaction fees and other operations by enabling users to top up their Tonkeeper Battery with just a single tap using a bank card. This enhancement is designed to streamline $HMSTR transactions and facilitate easier transfers.
Daniel Cawrey, Chief Strategy Officer at Tonkeeper, highlighted that the Battery feature is particularly beneficial for users who have received $HMSTR tokens through airdrops but do not possess TON. Users will be able to add cryptocurrency to their Tonkeeper Battery through various channels, including the TON network, Apple App Store, and Google Play Store.
The Battery feature, primarily used by Android users, is set to officially launch on October 1, following a reduction in $HMSTR airdrop quantities.
As of September 25, Tonkeeper has achieved notable success, with 34 million monthly active users and 8 million daily active users. In comparison, Hamster Kombat has made significant strides, amassing 300 million players since its launch. The game, which involves managing a virtual cryptocurrency exchange by interacting with images of hamsters, continues to captivate a vast audience.
The $HMSTR token is now listed on major cryptocurrency exchanges, including Binance, Hashkey Global, OKX, Bitfinex, and Bybit. Additionally, an extensive airdrop of 300 billion $HMSTR tokens has commenced, with 131 million players selected to receive rewards.
