The cryptocurrency market has largely continued its upward trend today, with Bitcoin (BTC) briefly surpassing the $55,000 mark and BiTorrent (BTT) experiencing a notable 18% surge. Meanwhile, Ethereum (ETH) and other major altcoins have also posted modest gains.
In the past 24 hours, Bitcoin’s price increased by approximately 1.5%, reaching $55,166. The coin’s daily trading range spanned from $53,653.76 to $55,373.32. Investor enthusiasm was bolstered by a significant 999 BTC accumulation, according to Whale Alert, contributing to a 0.11% rise in Bitcoin’s dominance to 55.77%. The total market cap of Bitcoin stands at $1.09 trillion.
Ethereum saw a 1% gain, with its price climbing to $2,306. The coin’s intraday low and high were $2,243.91 and $2,332.36, respectively. Ethereum’s market cap is currently at $277.34 billion. Notably, a multisig wallet that received ETH from Vitalik Buterin was observed selling its holdings.
Solana (SOL) recorded a slight increase of 0.33%, trading at $128.68. The daily range for SOL was $126.81 to $131.52, with a market cap of $60.20 billion. XRP also saw a modest rise of 0.5%, bringing its price to $0.5306, within a range of $0.5218 to $0.531. XRP’s market cap is $29.87 billion.
In the meme coin sector, Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) each gained nearly 1%, trading at $0.09695 and $0.00001312, respectively. PEPE, WIF, and FLOKI experienced gains between 2% and 3%.
Among the top gainers, BiTorrent (BTT) surged 18% to $0.0000009329, with a trading range of $0.0000007881 to $0.0000009522. Quant (QNT) saw a 10% rise to $70.90, with fluctuations between $65.37 and $71.58. Fantom (FTM) increased by 6%, reaching $0.427, trading between $0.3944 and $0.4297.
Conversely, some tokens faced declines. 1000SATS (SATS) fell nearly 8% to $0.0003118, trading between $0.0003052 and $0.0003385. Litecoin (LTC) slipped 2.5% to $60.45, with a range of $60.10 to $62.26. UNUS SED LEO (LEO) experienced volatility, trading at $5.40, down 0.20% from its daily high of $5.61.
Overall, the global cryptocurrency market capitalization rose nearly 1% to $1.95 trillion, and total market volume surged by roughly 10% to $46.53 billion.
